Prior to co-founding Salutare®, Chris was Microsoft's Senior Director of Cloud and Startups. Here, he led the process to find, and make successful, software companies building and running apps using Microsoft Azure and Dynamics. He managed this innovation team across 12 European countries.
Chris studied a BA in Chemistry and International Relations at Carleton College before becoming an IT Director, followed by joining an early NLP startup, and then taking on the role as an Analyst for Forrester Research in Cambridge, MA.
Prof. Kevin Moore

Kevin is an expert in liver disease with over 20 years of experience working as a consultant in liver transplantation and general hepatology.
Kevin trained in medicine at King’s College London, where he also obtained a BSc and PhD in Biochemistry. He is triply accredited in hepatology, general internal medicine, as well as Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
Kevin continues to work as an acute physician, is Professor of Hepatology at UCL and undertakes his clinical work at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Ameet Bakhai

Ameet is a renowned cardiologist and researcher with a demonstrated history of change and innovation in the hospital and healthcare industry.
Ameet trained at St Bartholomew’s, St Mary’s, Royal Brompton, Beth Isreal Deaconess and Royal Free Hospitals. He completed a scholarship year at Harvard Clinical Research Institute and Harvard School of Public Health.
Ameet continues to undertake ward rounds, clinics, coronary angiography, permanent pacing, echocardiography, student education, appraisals and research.

Professor Sir Salvador Moncada

During his time at the Wellcome Research Laboratories he led the team that discovered thromboxane synthase and the vasodilator prostacyclin. This work is the basis for the understanding of how, low doses of aspirin, prevent cardiovascular events such as heart attacks and strokes and it also explains the cardiovascular side effects of the COX2 inhibitors. In the 1980’s he identified nitric oxide as a biological mediator, the mechanism of its biosynthesis and many of its biological functions.
As Director of Research at Wellcome, he oversaw the work that resulted in the discovery and development of several new medicines, including, Lamotrigine, Atovaquone, Somig and Lapatinib. In 1995 he founded the Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research at University College London, which he directed until 2013.
From 2013 to 2018 he was at the University of Manchester, first as a Director of the Institute of Cancer Sciences and later as Cancer Domain Director.

Building on a deep background in healthcare-focused technology, Neil leads this fast-moving and positively disruptive opportunity to create better, more joined-up consumer experiences for customers and patients, bring business benefit for retail customers, and generate a broader societal benefit through lower-cost, more effective and more available healthcare.
Before assuming this role, Neil was the worldwide Health industry lead for Microsoft. Over 9 years, he defined, drove, and led the Microsoft vision for the future of Healthcare and how Microsoft products, technologies and partner solutions make it a reality. Previous to that, he led the Microsoft UK team during the largest ever development and procurement of healthcare technology, during the NHS National Programme for IT.
Neil obtained a Bachelor of Arts honors degree in archaeology and anthropology, and a Master of Arts in biological anthropology from Cambridge University. Currently residing in the Seattle area, Neil is also a former professional classical singer and continues to perform, learn and teach. He also sits on the board of KING FM, a Seattle-based classical radio station.
Dr Steve Hobbiger

Steve trained in Medicine at the Middlesex Hospital London and worked as a junior hospital doctor before joining the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1989.
He brings wide ranging experience and proven ability in senior roles including at Board level. His expertise includes Clinical Research (trials), Medical Governance (standards) and Pharmacovigilance (drug safety).
Steve spent ten years at Wellcome/GlaxoWellcome in late phase drug development before moving to Cambridge to join Napp Pharmaceuticals. In 2001 he returned to GlaxoSmithKline where he spent 20 years in R&D working for the Chief Medical Officer including 10 years as the GSK Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (QPPV). His final substantive role before retiring in 2021 was as Senior Vice President, Head of GSK Drug Safety and Medical Governance.
Following retirement Steve re-joined the NHS supporting Covid Vaccination in Cambridge. He is currently a Royal Society Entrepreneur in Residence at University College London working on a Drug Repurposing.

He earned his MSc in Advanced Computer Science, with a specialization in phylogenetic analysis of DNA using machine learning. Coupled with industry experience in developing sophisticated, web-based systems, Salutare presented the ideal opportunity for Ben to further his career by tackling innovative, science-driven healthcare solutions.
A seasoned backend developer, Ben's proficiency spans Systems Architecture, Full-Stack Web Development, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, low-level programming, along with an extensive background in Computer Science fundamentals. This wide-ranging expertise enables him to adeptly lead and contribute to Salutare's mission of revolutionising healthcare.

With over 8 years of experience as an EUC and DevOps engineer in the IT Operations department of the Cabinet Office, he has been instrumental in leading various projects involving the migration of on-premises solutions to the cloud.
His collaborative approach with different departments and stakeholders has ensured the highest levels of security and availability in these projects.
Prior to this, he has worked on developing SysOps roles for telecom companies, administering different services based on Linux distributions and Windows OS, with special attention to VOIP and open source technologies. His expertise in these areas has allowed him to provide technical leadership and support to the teams he work with.
He is passionate about leveraging technology to drive organisational growth and efficiency, and he looks forward to contributing to Salutare's success in this regard.

He has a proven track record of 8+ years delivering production-grade applications in modern stacks, regularly resolving critical technical challenges and driving strategic initiatives.
Academically, Ryan holds a BBSRC-funded PhD in biomolecular science, focusing on utilising machine learning for microRNA target prediction, alongside an MSc and BSc in computer science.

With 13 years in development, he offers a comprehensive perspective on building and maintaining applications, covering everything from initial design choices to solving tough scaling challenges in production environments. His experience is centred on developing reliable, clean solutions that are easy for teams to manage.
A self-taught developer who honed his ability to simplify complex ideas during five years as a software bootcamp instructor, he brings a unique, practical approach to development. He focuses on clarity, code quality, and ensuring teams have the foundational understanding necessary to move projects forward effectively.

As product manager he ensures Salutare products meet high standards for patients and health workers.
After starting starting his career in laboratory biosciences he focused on the use of bioinformatics to improve human longevity.
He later trained as a clinical doctor and uses his combined skills to bridge technology with biology and medicine to improve therapeutics and clinical workflows to make them more efficacious and accessible.

Amar has a robust background in medical research, with his work being pivotal in exploring the application of remote technology to support acute inpatient and transitional care, particularly for individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Beyond clinical medicine, he has held leadership roles in both the publishing and education sectors. Passionate about the transformative potential of healthcare technologies, Amar is focused on leveraging innovative solutions to improve clinical practices and patient care.
Dr Christopher Ross

As product owner of One Ordering and Monitor, he leads the development of our solutions that streamline clinical ordering and enhance patient monitoring across healthcare settings. His work blends clinical expertise with product strategy to create safe, intuitive, and clinically aligned tools that reduce friction for health professionals and improve patient care.
He began his career in clinical medicine before specialising in pathology, where he contributed to national-scale digital pathology programmes and AI-driven cancer diagnostics. Alongside his NHS training, he has led major innovation projects, securing over £750,000 in research and development funding.
Chris later worked in consulting as a clinical safety officer and digital pathology specialist, helping to deliver health-tech and improve diagnostic services across in the NHS.
He now uses his combined experience in medicine, research, and digital product design to build safe, effective, and human-centred tools that enhance diagnostics and modernise healthcare.

With a strong background in the engineering industry, Angelica acts as a crucial intermediary between technical teams, business partners, and stakeholders. She translates complex technical requirements into strategic action, ensuring all parties are aligned and working towards project success. Her administrative and project management initiatives directly result in increased operational efficiency, cost savings, and a consistently improved experience for stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

He joined Salutare in 2021 with a primary focus on frontend development, and has since grown into a full-stack engineer, contributing across the entire application stack and taking on increasingly complex technical challenges.
Driven by problem solving and continuous improvement, he is eager to support the wider team whether that means refining frontend experiences, strengthening backend systems, or helping unblock difficult technical issues.
