Salutare has been working with Coventry Pathology to develop digital phlebotomy in the main hospitals and the community phlebotomy.
As a cloud-based service, Clearinghouse is ideal for Coventry and Warwickshire, the only ICS to have rolled out pharmacy phlebotomy.
We asked over 300 patients in North Central London on their preferences for phlebotomy.
They showed a resounding preference.
More than a third said they would prefer their pharmacy if it were an option. Despite the fact that most have never experienced pharmacy phlebotomy, another 10-15% prefer the hospital (mainly because they attend clinic there or have difficult veins).
Salutare is working with Coventry now to expand.
The software is simple to learn how to use. Staff find patients quickly, and print high-quality bar-coded labels. That means they are ready to go straight onto the analyzer when samples arrive in lab. The one patient, one label, one time method saves time and money. It is safer than historical methods.
Paul Watters, working in Coventry Pathology IT, says with the staff "the Salutare Clearinghouse user interface and experience is undoubted."
